Hale, an Auckland, New Zealand photographer, has successfully juxtaposed her engaging puppy pictures with thought-provoking proverbs and famous sayings. She does not discriminate among breeds: purebred Bloodhound, Weimaraner, Pug, and Cairn terrier pups share well-staged space with Parson Russell Terrier, Cokerpoo, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier pup crosses. The adorable models came from breeders’ kennels, from the SPCA, and from rescue foster homes. “SNOG”s theme is love. In this reviewer’s opinion, “SNOG” could guarantee an automatic loving smile to each reader’s face.
